A comprehensive evaluation by an orthopedic spine specialist is essential before planning scoliosis correction surgery.
Medical History and Physical Examination
The specialist will:

- Perform the Adams Forward Bend Test.
- Evaluate neurological function and spinal flexibility.
Standing X-rays
Standing spinal X-rays are used to:

MRI Scan
MRI provides detailed images of the spinal cord and surrounding soft tissues to:

Surgical Treatment
Scoliosis correction surgery is recommended when the spinal curve continues to progress, causes significant pain, affects daily activities, or exceeds the degree at which further progression is expected.
During surgery, the spine is carefully realigned using rods and pedicle screws, and spinal fusion is performed with bone grafts to maintain the corrected position permanently. Advanced surgical navigation and neuromonitoring may be used to improve safety and precision.
