What is Hormone Therapy?
Hormone therapy can either supplement deficient hormones, as in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopause, or block hormone effects in conditions like hormone-driven cancers.
It is primarily used for:
- Hormone-driven cancers: Such as breast and prostate cancer.
- Hormone replacement therapy (HRT): For menopause-related symptoms.
- Endocrine disorders: Such as thyroid dysfunction and adrenal disorders.
