Hair transplantation involves extracting individual hair follicles or small groups of follicles from the donor site, which is usually the back or sides of the scalp where hair is more resistant to falling out. These follicles are then carefully implanted into small incisions created in the recipient site. There are two main techniques for hair transplantation:

• Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT): This involves removing a strip of skin bearing hair follicles from the donor site, which is then dissected under a microscope to separate individual follicles or small groups before transplantation. This procedure leaves a small linear scar in the donor area.
• Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE): This involves extracting individual hair follicles directly from the donor site using a small punch tool. This procedure does not leave a linear scar but may leave small, scattered dot-like scars in the donor area. After transplantation, the transplanted follicles begin to grow naturally over several months. Hair transplantation is considered a permanent solution for hair loss and baldness and can significantly improve a person's appearance and self-confidence.
